Venango County, Pennsylvania

About Us

Community Ambulance Service, Inc  (CAS) has been serving Venango County since 1967. Commitment to our community has been the focus since our inception. We started out with 1 Cadillac Ambulance in 1967, now we have a fleet of 7 ambulances and 5 wheelchair vans and an Advanced Life Support Squad. Paramedic level pre-hospital emergency care in Venango County started in 1989, which allowed our paramedics to provide a higher level of critical care to those that become sick or injured.

We are licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Health as an Advanced Life Support Ambulance Service, and we hold a license through the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Community Ambulance Service is a not-for-profit agency governed by a 9 member volunteer board of directors. We do offer a subscription program and we are a United Way Agency Member. Our employees are highly dedicated and are proud to serve the residents and visitors of Venango County. We have three station locations within Venango County.  They are in Franklin, Cranberry and Oil City.

We support our local schools with Programs such as Dare-to-Care, a program designed for driverís education class that focuses on what to do if you come upon a motor vehicle accident. We instruct CPR and we provide an in-depth Driving Under the Influence program, which consists of a mock vehicle accident involving injury and death. This program focuses on the choices you make.
